I'd be a little more excited if we were signing a handful of big name athletes which we were going after at the start of the year.........but instead, we're right here again.......in the same position...........signing the 2 and 3-stars and pretending like they are diamonds in the rough.

well don't worry JJM, Next years class will REALLY be special.

lol jk, but we did just pick up our first 2013 commit. DB/QB Tre'vell Dixon.

with a name like Tre'vell hes gotta be good right?

I actually love this commit. Florida and Oregon saw something as well.

I trust Florida and Oregons talent evaluation more than any secondary service.

Following the visit, Whitaker had to think long and hard about choosing between Nebraska or waiting to see if Oregon offered. He considered Oregon to be his dream school, but after thinking it over, decided there were too many things point him to the Huskers.

“I was leaning toward Oregon and halfway through the visit I was thinking ‘Wow, Nebraska is steering me away from the dream school,’” he said. “That’s when I started to know that the team I thought was my dream team, wouldn’t be the team for me.”

They base the player rankings early on from who SC TX and the SEC offer, he wasn't in the loopy thing

Not sure I'll get too excited about Dixon just yet. I think I will wait and see what happens after Miles opens his wallet.

I hope this staff knows we're catching on to their game now though. Whitaker and Alexander will be under the microscope and it will be very telling either way if these guys do nothing, are role players, or are stars.

It will signal that either we are indeed reaching out of desperation, we don't have an eye for talent, or we really do have good talent evaluation.

Or we're just damn lucky. And it's better to be lucky than good.

I love this guys film. Plays very intelligently and is athletically efficient the way he moves.

And if he plays that hard every snap....holy cow.

They had a 4 star guy going to UCLA rated 17th by rivals playing there. Programs have definitely had a good look at this guy.

What's the knock?

Oregon and Florida can afford to reach with their bigger classes. We can't
