Yes, believe it or not folks, there is a hockey team from Toronto playing for a Cup. The baby Leafs(or Marlies if you want the technical real nickname) won their series with Oklahoma City 4-1 to move on to the Finals.

Will be a tall order though as they face the Norfolk Admirals(Tampa Bay) who have been a juggernaut this season. They of course are the team that owned a 28 game winning streak earlier this year.

Good luck boys!

AHL announces CBS Sports Network will televise Games 3 through 7 of the Calder Cup finals in the U.S.

im guessing this means it will be on in Canada too? dont think they would black it out, would they?

Id still rather watch NCAA division 3 Ultimate frisbee finals played in a hurricane than the marlies

For those that missed it, Admirals win Game 3 in OT after dump in goes off glass and in with Marlies netminder behind his net. Bizarre.
Dallas Eakins: "I would rather someone take a pair of steel toed boots and kick me in the nether regions than lose a game like that."

I haven't seen it yet

ummm..... it was also VERY offside.
(or did the guy clear the zone in time? not sure how that works - they always blow the play down if it's an offside shot on net)

how the hell was that NOT offside. AHL doesnt have different rules for clear ins do they.

I feel bad for them even for a leafs farm team
