This doesn't make much sense to me because you're not really competing against anybody since nobody is picking from the same player pool.

Good point... you dont run the risk of losing a player if you dont take him early enough.

Its basically best teams not who can draft best players before the other guy. Maybe we do 2 GM teams and we only draft a AFC team then only draft a NFC team. Then we can have a playoff between divisions until we get to the Super Bowl.

Actually thinking about what 500 pointed out i'm not sure I wanna do a divisional draft or conference draft. I would like a pre 1990 or pre 1980 draft, mostly pre 1980.

The NFC East dominated for 20 years, so whoever gets stuck with the NFC West is only gonna have a couple players from the Cards, Rams & Hawks and a team full of Niners?

That's why I said we will all be drafting from the same pool. We draft a AFC Team then the next draft will be a NFC Team. Then we hold the playoffs for all the AFC teams until we have a winner. Then we have the NFC playoff until we have the winner which will give us the Super Bowl.

Example UK will draft the defense while I draft the offense players from only AFC teams (years of eligibility TBD)
Nos will draft the offense and Medlock will draft the defense players from only AFC Teams.

I still like the idea of a pre 1980 draft but thats just me... I imagine at some point we will run out of ideas because we will have done every kind of draft possible.

I like this idea. You have 2 GM's picking the best players from their division of all time. 1 GM picks the offense and 1 GM picks the defense players

Teams

NFC East Team- UK & Ritz

NFC North Team- Nos & Pack 500

NFC West Team- Medlock & Clayton

AFC East Team- Melmaan & Unknown

We could do that pretty quickly. I was thinking more along the lines of everyone picking from one division.

As far as the NFC West team being 'full of Niners', I actually think you could have a good mix. Rams can dip from some great players from the LA days and the GSOT days. Seattle is the best team in the league right now. Cardinals have maybe a top 5 roster coming in to next season. I think the team would still be over a third Niners but they did have a dynasty

You don't have a limited pool. Everyone will be drafting from the same pool AFC teams. You can narrow it down if you like from everyone drafting from pre 1980 AFC teams. Once we finish the AFC teams we will do a NFC draft.

You can pick any player from ( - ). The players will be judged duringtheir prime years. If you decide to take a rookie player like Clowney then hewill be judged on how you think he would do against other guys in their primefrom past seasons.

2. Team 2 Offense GM

3. Team 3 Offense GM

4. Team 4 Offense GM

5. Team 1 Defense GM

6. Team 2 Defense GM

7. Team 3 Defense GM

8. Team 4 Defense GM

10. Team 3 Offense GM

Blood from your period doesn't count, sweat because you had to bend over to pick up your draft sheets and tears because you couldn't get back up.
