They have the mental advantage as there is nothing to lose.

All they do is punch, scratch, elbow, kick, wrestle, and maul like barbarians to rattle the robot Spurs.

Even many of their fans were tossing shit and dropping nonstop F-bombs ever second as well as some sort of Mad Max Thunderdome like homecourt to try and intimidate the Spurs as well.

Even the referees have bought into the spectacle of it.
They didn't call touch fouls like a normal game and just let it look like a streetfight for both teams.

I don't think I have ever seen something like this in the modern era of 3 point basketball.

This series was over before it started. They didn't have Conley, Gasol or Wright. They were basically playing all backups and Randolph lol.

Without a doubt, it helps make for an easy series.
That is without question and not even worth debating.

But, here is how the Kawahi Leonard era Spurs have done versus the Grizzlies:
4-0 in 2012
6-2 in 2013, 4-0 playoff
4-0 in 2014
2-2 in 2015
8-0 in 2016 4-0 playoff

They are 24-4 in the 28 meetings.
Both Kawahi Leonard and Tony Parker did not play in 3 of the Spurs losses.


It is a bad matchup for the Grizzlies in this era with the same basic rosters.
The Spurs would have won this series (4-1) if Memphis was healthy instead of (4-0).
