I agree, but there's only one problem with that for the NHL. With 82 games & 30 teams how the heck would Colin Campbell keep up with it? He's lost as it is.

Yes I read a great article about that recently can't remember where but that is basically the reason why it's not such a big deal in the NHL.

To me it still sounds silly when a coach says "He has an upper body injury" WTF, it just sounds like kid shit too me.

Talk about opening up a can of worms. It would be fun to see how the league, teams & players would handle it. I mean we hear all the time about a player being day to day with an upper or lower body injury. This would quickly turn into the keystone cops. LOL!

Sorry Sabres fans things were going well until Bob was pulled. Miller gave up 5 goals & Philly went 1 for 10 on the powerplay. Something just doesn't seem right about that. I have one question for Flyers fans. When will your organization realize they can't win the cup without a goalie?

C'mon man.. You know we've been asking that same question for years and years now.

In my opinion -- Holmgren (for all of his excellent GM brilliance) seems to think that the goalie isn't the "end all" when it comes to stopping the puck from going into the net. I think he believes that if you have the right system and enough competent D-men out front that you won't need a goalie that can stand on his head nightly, you just need a guy who can make the occasional great save and move on.

Any idea when Pronger is expected back? I had know idea he'd be out this long with his hand injury. Who knew the Islanders would have an impact on this series. It was a slapshot from an Islanders player that hit his hand.

As of this morning, it appears prongs is probably out for game 3 as well..

According to the doc who did the surgery - "It's just healing slowly. Nothing more to it" and the only comment we can get out of Homer is "he's day to day".

lol I get where you're coming from man, but...knowing Pronger is out is and thinking he is out are 2 different animals.

NO, he is NOT the worlds best Dman, but I believe his impact is always felt and that the Sabre's will have to make adjustments to their game just because he's out there.

Well.....that and the Flyer's management has put a gag order on him from talking about it any further.

I don't Z would be playing had Nodl not gotten hurt, but Z WAS one of the Flyer's most competitive players going down the stretch and everyone knows what his offensive skills are about, so.....I guess we shall see what impact he has soon enough.
