2 Monday night games this week

Can anybody think of a reason the NFL is doing this in week 3 this year? I don't mind more football, but why week 3?

Weeks 3, 4 and 5 have games in England. I wonder if Cockney will go to the Jets vs Vikings game...

looking at nfl.com, the Jags-Bills is listed as an ESPN game, with Washington-KC being on ABC.

The local CBS affiliate is carrying the Jags-Bills. The NFL has a rule that requires games to be shown on an OTA station in local markets.

The local ABC station here would probably prefer to show anything other than another NFL game.

2 football games competing against each other on Monday night? WTF? In the past, if they had 2 Monday games, one would be an early East coast game and the other a late West Coast game. Having them at 7:30 and 8:15 sucks.bucks. And these are both East coast games.

No problem at all at Chez Hankela. Record both, watch concurrently.

I just have to figure out where they put the other games score so I can cover with 4 layers of painters tape.

Easier on Sunday since they use a ticker at the bottom of the screen. These 2 could have a box in a top corner.

I love that there are 2 Monday night games the next 2 weeks - means I can focus more on those games rather than having so many games on at the same time on Sunday.
