Sadly I think the Simmons injury gives Brown an excuse and he hangs on one more season.

I don't love him as a coach but I think the real issue is not coaching, it is bad team chemistry and pieces that don't fit.

Nah... I agree with the other guys on here: if Philly loses to Boston, Brown is done.

It's slightly unfair to Brown because of the Simmons injury... but OTOH this season was a bonus chance for him... he easily could have been fired last year.

This might be a minority opinion but if the decision came down to picking either Simmons or Embiid and trading the other I'm picking Simmons all the time to keep

And I love Embiid but he just doesn't pay with enough heart consistently

Also Simmons brings more to the floor than Embiid - intangibles, defense, playmaking, etc.

Focusing on Simmons' lack of 3 point shot is narrow minded

Now this opinion can change if Embiid actually took basketball seriously instead of talking about taking it seriously and playing small too many times

He has been passing up shots. A real max player and there’s no question he fires. These sets are so stale. The Cs are on top of every movement in every set. They’re beating Sixers to screens because it’s the same stale shit. So frustrating.

But also, congrats to the Cs. Tatum is a beast and Kemba plus Brown and the intangibles of a guy like Smart it’s a really nice group. As a basketball fan, I’d love to see your group with a legit 5. Modern basketball though, more and more, you don’t need that.

A few dynasties have started with a coaching change. Warriors too.

But the Sixers are too late. They needed to rewind to the Fultz draft and take a redo with every move they made.

At that time, they had Embiid, Simmons, Covington, the #1 pick and a ton of cap space.

They really screwed this thing up.
