Huge surpris win in my opinion for me in game 1 for the Knicks. They gotta keep up the great work in game 2 but my prediction is it will end up 1-1 going into game 3
I sold your team short. Very impressed with how they played yesterday. Early foul trouble for an important guy like Brunson is the kind of adversity that used to sink the Knicks. Much respect.

would have for sure just thought not healthy enough had he not gotten so much run in those last 2 games. Having never really watched him that much I didn't see what you did in those games. But he was hitting some open shots which we need.

Isn't to saying wrong not to play him as I'm crazy enough to believe a guy around the game since birth along with his other coaches might have a better feel for his players than fans.
I hear what you’re saying. And I’m a “playoffs are just different” guy. Danny Green has lived it. Even for 7-8 minutes of run in a game he can give you a spark. The Sixers were up 2–1 and had a lead in game 4 when Green went down with an injury. Sixers weren’t the same. He’s made for this time of year. Would love to see him get some run. I was just spitballing a reason. Cavs don’t acquire him to not give him playoff run.

Duh. I was talking about the Hawks series that became the end of Ben Simmons in Philly.

sure...my comment was not to disagree with what you said and I'd like to see him. That said, putting him in meant taking out a starter and the starters for the most part played well so I guess I can understand.

Only one he could really play over was Osman or Levert and Levert, even though he played terribly, was gonna get his minutes and Osman played well. He wasn't going to play over the backup PG, Rubio (though maybe Neto should?). Getting hurt on the boards but if under control I'd for sure like to see him get any minutes Wade might get.

I appreciate it. But I’ve been a fan since the 90s and I just don’t know if they can come back in game 2 with the same intensity like they had in game 1. We shall see

Hard to say and the Cavs might just play better (despite NY intensity) but they got 1 on the road which was the goal.

The 90's?....hahaha...that's greenhorn territory, bruh.
I've been a Knicks fan since the late 60's.
The last time they won it all was in 1973... the year I graduated from HS.
At this point I'm just taking it game by game..and hoping to witness another NYK title while I'm still around and able.

I think the Cavs played poorly and had bad luck in the first game- yet still almost won-

I think they will win Game 2.

I think Wade and Rubio should sit.

LeVert needs to show he is not worthless.

I almost feel like STevens would be good to get some run.

All they need is a split on the road before heading home

I'm guessing Rubio might get a few minutes to see what he has......or they may just go with Neto as backup PG. Levert will for sure get his 20-30 minutes. Osman likely gets a shot. I could see if they need another seeing what Stevens can do.

If the starters can play as they have just need the bench to not suck.

Nope...I still like the guy. Good to see him play well last night.

some Cavs' fans ripping the team for it but whatever. If not mistaken the guy played 14 total minutes in the play ins and team -8 with him on court.
Dude sure likes to put his body on the line and take charges in the paint that's for sure.
Plus he can still drain those 3's.
Isn't he retiring after this season?

I would sit him. 2 days off between games 2 and 3 so gives him additional time to get that ankle right
Yep. He’s the glue guy that has really rounded out their lineup. You never want to “give” a playoff game. They’ll come out and compete short handed and see what happens, but long term for them, they should rest that ankle.

wonder when the last time a 21 year old was top 3 DPOY?

Mobley still has a long way to go

he has to get more consistent

he has to fill out

he needs to get tougher

but he is on his way to being one of the best players in basketball over the next few years. Mobley has some All NBA teams in front of him--- by the time he is 26 like Mitchell- I would bet he will be a multi-time all star, have a DPOY under his belt, be All-NBA on a consistent basis.

Cavs have one of the brightest futures in the league

if Giannis really has back issues that will keep him from performing, and the HEat somehow win this series- and the Cavs lose against hte Knicks--- itll be a huge wasted opportunity.

huge wasted opportunity. I would love a 2nd round series against the Heat. I am actually rooting for the Heat!!! LOL.

I don’t think the Knicks are better.

Cavs have a better starting 5 and the best player in the series. Knicks have better depth. More guys who can step up and produce when their main options are off.

This looks like a 7 game series to me.
Maybe in a few years this could be the best starting 5 in the NBA but depth has been a problem all year, shooting has been a problem all year. Their depth is very lackluster. Two big things they need address in the offseason.
