We discuss, argue about, debate darn near anything NBA and/or basketball related. Not much in the way of serious gamblers on here @thunderc probably comes closest.

A few are on Draftkings or FanDuel. A little gambling talk happens, but mostly it's about the sport.

@bksballer89 is into the daily fantasy stuff pretty big. It’s not legal where I am yet or I would be. I do follow the lines especially in football and put down the occasional bet.

Finishing has always been an issue for him for whatever reason (or multiple). He either gets rejected or rushes the shot far too often. He has bad hands (perhaps small?).

He's out there to disrupt, so any offense is a plus, but gimmies still need to be gimmies. Maybe a healthy offseason training can help him out (has he had a healthy offseason while with LA?).

Chalking that shit show up to "rust" and hoping I'm right. lol

I mentioned the fear of rust a week ago. Too many shooters left wide open, but even wide open shooters doesn't usually equal 50% from 3 as a team. One of those games you just aren't likely to win.

Would help if Luka wasn't the only player that showed up ready to play, but that could be due to the Wolves' defensive strategy too. I really hate when the Lakers seem to dictate who's taking control of the offense. If Luka is cooking, don't force possessions through Lebron just to placate him.

I'm not sure if gambling talk is allowed on this forum ???but I took the time and effort to register on this forum just to make a post... I wagered $10,000 on Oklahoma City thunder to win $500... On OKC...absolutely stupid bet..

but that's not the reason why I'm posting this... I wagered another $10,000 on the Los Angeles Lakers to win the series ...after game one I have no faith that they can win the series... I'm thinking about hedging..(( line currently minn minus $120)...but if Minnesota wins game 2 then I'm totally screwed and can't hedge... cause line will go way up on Minnesota.....I will follow this up with a more detailed message....

but I'm just looking for anyone to convince me that the Lakers can win game 2?....and win the series... lost home court edge and they just look overpowered by Minnesota.. I have my bet slips from DraftKings to back this up... if anybody thinks I'm a troll because I'm not... I literally walked into DraftKings (Seabrook NH)....with 20,000 in cash and placed both bets... I do regret betting the Lakers though they look out matched and in my opinion will get swept by the hungry better younger faster wolves

If you looked at this Lakers team and decided to bet $10k on them over the Wolves, you’ve got a serious gambling problem.

One of these teams has to win 4 high scoring games and literally get everything they have out of the offensive side of the ball to win this series. It’s not the Twolves.

I appreciate for everyone replying... I mean I've been gambling since I've been 13 years old... I'm currently at the advanced age of 52... I mean I guess I'm addicted to gambling on sports.. I don't know.... but only choice I have at this time is hope the Lakers win game 2 ...and see what the line is and then hedge against my original bet ... just try to break even on the entire series bet

If you watched Minny basketball you know they are an inconsistent team but I thought they ended the season playing pretty well.

Minny played a great game and LA played a lousy game but I wouldn’t be surprised by any outcome honestly. I think LA takes game 2

I have nothing to base that on bc gambling is illegal in Texas and I stopped gambling over a decade ago. I stick to fantasy sports

If I were a gambler, I wouldn't bet a dime on any Western Conference 1st round matchup.

Outside of OKC vs. Memphis, these are not normal seedings.

Only 1 game separated the 3 and 6 seeds, the 4 and 5 seeds have the same record as the 3 seed and the 2 seed was only 4 games ahead of the 7 seed and their records would be even closer if the 7 seed had gotten Jimmy Butler a few games sooner.

I wouldn't be very surprised if the 2, 3 and 4 seeds all lost their series. I don't think that's what will happen...but would anyone really be shocked if it did?
