Vincent too, if he’s going to get minutes over Dinwiddie.

Yes, he’s a better defender.

But, he can’t put up a goose egg on offense.
The fact that Vincent showed he could guard Murray is why he was signed in the first place right? It seems like they are not totally committed to it now though.

And When Dinwiddie was in there, does he put up baskets?? Nope. Did little last evening. Same goes for Hayes. We have a host of bench players that only play defense and seem to not understand that ya have to contribute to the score on OFFENSE as well!!

There is a host of what-if scenarios here. If James would have made just two of the LAY-UPS he missed, the Lakers win. If Reaves and Hachimura would have scored just two buckets more each, the Lakers would have won.

Blah, Blah, Blah!! And on it goes!!
I’m curious as to why the Lakers appear to stop running plays in the 2nd half.

Are they panicking and just resorting to one on one hero ball or is it scheme?

Vincent showed he could slow Murray but the dude doesn't seem to understand he has to score something when he is in there and Ham seems to encourage just his defense and not get on him about not scoring baskets, or so it seems!!

They said the call was overturned because the contact came after he released the ball. Which it did.

Right or wrong, they didn't lose because of that call. They lost because they blew a 20 point 2nd half lead.
40 2nd half points is bad.

I mean, he’s barely played this year.

Hard to totally trust him in must win games when his sample size is so small.

But they need to play him or Spencer, probably not both.

Hard to get into a rhythm playing 10-15 minutes.

No one seems to know Mecca. One thing is for certain. In these two series games and I suspect several other reg season games, they just forget how to play basketball and stop doing what got them a lead.

Either way, it falls on Ham’s shoulders.

Either he’s got a shitty game plan or the team tunes him out in the 2nd half.

Both are a death kneel.

At this point start Vincent for 18-20mpg or Dinwiddie and sit Reaves so he can provide a spark and maybe some scoring off the bench.

Might help him regain that spark.

Reggie Jackson is an easier cover than an engaged Murray.

It's a way to try to control the clock.

Trying to burn clock similar to an NFL team going run heavy in the 2nd half to preserve a lead.

The problem is that the offense becomes predictable because it becomes a lot of Lebron/AD pick and rolls. That's fine when it works, but it also leads to rushed shots up against the 24 second clock.

My guess is that is how Lebron wants to play it. Problem is...he can't just make plays and score anyway when the pick and roll is taken away like he used to.

When Ham benched him earlier in the season because he was playing poorly (which worked), you all wanted him fired for it.

They don’t use Gabe right at all. He had way more freedom in Miami while in LA he is basically just sitting in a corner

Spot on TJF12. I sort of figured that Ham is doing one thing and James is doing something else on the floor that leads to these colossal collapses against the Nuggets dating back to the WCF last year. I am not sure there is now a remedy in the present configuration of coach and player(s).

Yep, I wanted Ham fired because he had lost the locker room if not only for a stretch and there was an obvious covert rift going on that didn't appear to have a resolution resulting in a lot of losing.

Maybe it is because the offense must go through James when he and AD are in there together. I am speculating here but it seems to explain a lot of players like Reaves and Hachimura and much of the bench just disappearing in games.
