To be fair, he's always had that talent in him defensively.

He's got the size and enough athleticism to do it.

And since he's covering up Brunson, who gives up....probably a foot on him when he bends his knees to load up a jumper, you can see why it would work.

UConn did the same thing putting Castle on smaller guards for Purdue and Alabama in the final four. IF you have that level of size and athleticism, it makes sense to try.
