Just saw this on TV:

Over the past 10 years no 1 or 2 seed has ever lost in the first round of the playoffs (40-0)

Last one was I believe the 2nd seeded Bulls with Derek Rose.

This is the first playoff series where LeBron's team is not favored in his entire career.

That said, there's never really been a 7 or 8 seed like this with injuries and a bad roster all being fixed in time for the playoffs. Plus LeBron. They have as good a shot as any to break that steak.

I'ma say Grizzlies in 6 but I really want the Lakers to win.

And even more want a Lakers Warriors round 2. I don't believe they have ever met in the playoffs (at least since moving to CA). They are never good at the same time.

Have they played when neither was very good? I kid.
