How is localizing power and influence going to create better oversight and accountability?

The biggest problem with oversight and accountability, is the centralization of our government. Geography is first layer of accountability. DC is 1000's of miles away of most of this countries population, therefore there is a natural disconnect. Keeping the money spread out reduces the potential financial gain of manipulating the system for you're own benefit.

natural selection will take over. States, Counties, Cities and Towns that are run into the ground will see population decrease as people find greener pastures elsewhere, competition will drive progress.

Who do you see more of....your mayor, or city/town councilman? Or POTUS or you're local Congressman or State Senator? That's accountability...I'd rather the millions that are sent in income tax from my Town to DC, to remain local and allow us to determine how it should be spent...if we can afford free medical for all? So be it, if not? Then let's not bankrupt ourselves in the process...same for all social spending, which is my biggest beef with federal spending. The programs have no oversight what so ever..why? Because no one treats that money as their own. It's monopoly money used to satisfy the latest political whim...

The UDTs pioneered combat swimming, closed-circuit diving, underwater demolitions, and midget submarine (dry and wet submersible) operations. They were the precursor to the present-day United States Navy SEALs.

UDT is NOT SEAL...can't say it any more plainly...and I'm repeating what I said earlier....

UDT is still around today...UDT are conventional divers...used to clear obstructions, emergency repairs...rescue divers etc...when you graduate BUD's, you're UDT...not SEAL...you then have the choice to remain UDT, or pursue SEAL training..which is selective and has the highest washout rate in SPECOPs..

SEALs are highly trained combat specific amphibious weapons of mass destruction...who are also, UDT...on top of BUDs they go through another 6 months of training, then another year and a half of specialty training once they're assigned to a Team.


Notice the emboldened part..."Viet Nam "era"" Meaning? He never saw combat in Viet Nam...he was stationed in a South Pacific R&R resort as a rescue diver...
