Yup. No way around it either. Those items are not illegal to consume. Even people on welfare.

The majority of welfare recipients are not people that take advantage of the system. If you think that, you must be stuck in the 80s and 90s when the media played the biggest role in demonizing welfare recipients by showcasing the that chicago family and coining the term "welfare queen."

Cowboy, there are more people in the "welfare system" now than ever before. I don't have exact numbers nor percentages, but it's alarmingly high compared to past decades.

Back in the day "welfare" or whatever you want to call it (lunch programs, etc.) was a way to a means... but had a means to an end. Not so much now-a-days.

Down is right... it's crippling our country.

EDIT... This does not mean I want Americans living on the streets starving to death... I'm one of the dumb people who give money to many people on street corners with their VIETNAM VET / WILL WORK FOR FOOD signs. I've said this a million times before.
