your theory is probably correct, saves the MLB millions in appeals and such, saves time, makes the MLB look really good..........so they gave braun an "easy" punishment

They kind of just explained it on MLB Network...something about a "just cause" clause Selig has in dealing these suspensions.

The fact that he admitted it has me almost convinced that he was facing a lifetime ban, and he bargained out of it by publicly admitting that he did it and agreeing not to appeal the suspension.

They have Rosenthal on the phone right now...

He's saying the same thing. He didn't say "lifetime ban"...but "significantly more" in terms of a length of suspension.

It's official, Ryan Braun is the first to be suspended. 65 games though and not 100 as he did a plea bargain.

Lucky the Brewers are really bad this year and his MVP award should be taken away also and awarded to Matt Kemp.

The reason most likely A-Rod is saying he is injured. He is next.

Should of gave the 20 million to the fat man Prince Feilder instead.
