"Because you are trying to deflect. Your original statement was vague stating "since 2010 there has not been a season where more than 4 players scored 40 goals"

"Now you are cherry picking to back track a fucking moronic comment"

Sound familiar?

What was cherry picked?

You literally said that I was wrong when I said wingers scoring more then assisting is common. I showed more finite data in your "cherry picked" 25?

Or are you calling my til 2010 cherry picked? When I specifically said that's all I went back on. Showing 40 is elite. But then you show 1 years.

6>1.

You may need to hit an AA meeting soon

Cherry picked... You mentioned one of the five that didnt had one more assist than he did goals but didnt mention that one of the players that did had just one more goal than he did assists. Kinda the definition of cherry picking.

How many of the players who scored 40 - 50 goals that season ever scored 60? Yep, none of them, scoring 40 goals in 1993 isn't elite, but scoring 60 is, who scored 60 that year? Selanne, Bure, Mogilny, Robitaille, Mario. Thats elite and that was my point the entire time. It's not uncommon at all for truly elite goal scorers to have more goals than assists, Gartner was NEVER an elite goal scorer.

Using 2010 to try to prove a point about players who played in the 80's and 90's just doesn't work no matter how much you think it does. Who know's maybe you just don't know what elite means.

I didn't cherry pick to backtrack on a comment. My data was taken from your sample size and supported my argument against your original statement. That I was wrong in thinking that

Were Vaivw and Nieuwendyk elite? Rick Nash?

My point was it's very common for good players or hall of famers or complete legends to have more goals then assists.

40 goal seasons or 60 goal seasons. It's common. Your first statement said that it was a bad thing and changed your stance on when it's ok and who is and isn't a puck hog.

The list is big, whether or not you consider scoring 40 goals or more 7 times as being elite at your job.

Hockey is at the game so if Shane doesn't pick we are in for a pretty good wait.

I don't know any of these players, but I think our team is one of the best...pretty sure they are.
