That wouldn't make any sense

I hate the Aves whole roster

It is hard to be around all that awesome. It is a damn shame that they put a Salary cap in place and made the Avs try and win with smart decisions. They have proved time and again that if they can't buy the cup they will not even bother with the playoffs.

Not following any other topic here, but what happened to Cam Ward, I remember watching him early in his career, he was like 12 years old and stopped everything. It feels like I took a nap and he turned 32 and is the definition of average.

Would rather have Forsberg

But Gilmore still being available proves my point why "5 rounds ago" can't be assumed

Sure did. Why is the second line relevant?

Because Gilmour is not 5 rounds worse

And is better thencenters already taken. And I knew he was eligible and available.

Hence....you can't assume at 12:30 am "Forsberg is definitely gone simply because he should be gone".

This isn't 5 full NHL rounds, 5 rounds of this mock would be 25 picks. I would bet most people had Forsberg rated much higher. I know Fem and I discussed both players, and if Forsberg had been available, he would have gone several rounds ago, well before Gilmour. Obviously you are a fan

Yes, but the point is I can't just speculate what I think others would do.

We got Brodeur because Milk apparently messed up his years. 1 draft a goalie went before Gretzky.

You took Mike Modano 9 rounds before I took Gilmour.

Modano was one of the ones I was referring to in my last post. Ironic that I now look and see it was you guys who took him lol

I agree... Center is always the deepest position in hockey drafts... But the problem I found out last hockey draft is that even though it is the deepest, the players are also the best...

But when I drafted my last 3 Centers, I had a list of 10 centers that I thought were near equal... Many are still available...

Yup and a lot goes into their games as centers

Some are amazing at face offs, some play great defensive zone center which are huge keys for that position.

Forsberg is absolutely better then Gilmore tho. I was just pointing out that it's isn't logical for me to think he's gone simply because he should be.

I don't really need google for hockey so I blanked that Forsberg started a whopping....1 year too late

I guess with hockey drafts not all of us are good enough yet to make SHOULD be a certainty... But I do think Forsberg is more of a name than Most other Centers drafted, where more casual fans know him... I certainly think of him before I think of Adam Oates, Doug Gilmour, Mats Sundin and Dale Hawerchuck

Then that's on you.

Shane brought him up many times and I kept passing on him

Yeah I thought he was a bargain a couple rounds ago and he was...I just didn't mention he was ineligible :laugh3:

@Nosferatu

want to trade me your OTC... I want to make my pick already without someone stealing it now that I know who I want... If this player is taken, it may take me forever to find another player...

so give me your next 2 for my next 2 picks...

Bossy and Bure were elite goal scorers, it's a smidge different for them than Gartner, who once in his career scored exactly 50.

How many players have scored 60 goals in a season? like what 18 or 19 and how many players have scored 60 goals more than once? I believe only 7 players have scored 60 goals multiple times and guess whos on that list Pavel Bure & Mike Bossy, guess who is nowhere close to that list Mike Gartner.

Understand yet?
