When I list my starting D, I'm gonna list 2 LB's and 3 Corners. If the offense lines up with 2 backs, Bob Sanders can drop down as 3rd linebacker and Rolle , who was a CB/S, will go to Safety. With the offenses built the way they are, that's the way to go to me

Pretty sure that's understood though when there's 3 WRs you're gonna be in nickel

Um, UK has two players from 1998 - Patrick Surtain and Olin Kruetz, he needs a guy from 2008 I believe

I think my guys will run nickel as a base defense also. (Harrison can hurt people off the bench)

Polamalu can handle quasi-linebacker duties just fine.

Looking at the teams, it'll be hard to match up with most teams if you can't cover. It's the biggest reason I drafted Sharper and traded for Derrick Brooks also. With TE's like Sharpe, Gates, Gonzalez, having someone who can compete in man against the TE is critical. If you have to double the TE, you can't play over the top of the receivers

That's why I went with Gronk when I did. If teams want to defend him with a linebacker, I won't complain.

I tried several times to trade out of my Taylor pick, to add Sharper. Nobody has more picks in this mock, I believe. (Only guys with more sacks than Taylor, play down the line from him.). That was a nice add for you.

I kept 09 open in the hopes Quin would be there. He was a corner the first two years of his career and functioned as a nickel back about 40% of plays last year. (Somewhere around there.). Coverage will be key in this Mock.

Every player on my team has been to the pro bowl. My last pick will be the exception, I can't find a pro bowl 3 - 4 DE from 2009...

I actually have 3 who didn't make a pro bowl - Tony Parish, Terrell Buckley and DeAndre Levy - though a case could be made that each of them should have.

Levy makes plays. But he's not a solid tackler. He's improved dramatically the last two seasons in that area(was very poor when he got to the league.) but as a Lions fan and guy who considers himself a Levy fan, I was surprised he went in this Mock. Was kinda thinking Tulloch would be selected though.

He has been the best coverage LB on his team since the day he was drafted though. (Still doesn't make sense that he was responsible for Dez Bryant in post season fourth quarter crunch time. I was pissed, but not at him.)

Well, Levy was taken for his coverage skills, but it was a more comment about how people usually vote for Pro Bowls than whether they were tops of their positions. His 6 INTs in 2012 would have gotten some looks, as well as being 3rd in the NFL in tackles this season (first in solos).

Coverage is definitely his strong suit. (He gets single coverage on TEs all the time. And it's TEs that did the most damage against us, since he's all by himself. He had a lot of responsibility this year without his starting MLB and a SS who's lacking in coverage.)

I don't think it was a bad pick by any means. Was just surprised. As a fan of his, Im glad people outside of Detroit view him as Pro Bowl worthy. (He stepped up a lot this year (in volume of tackles)after Tully went down doin a double check against GB.)

Fixed lol. It made me think though, I'm sure we will go reverse order on add/drops, but I think if each guy gets 2 at a time we'ok have less headaches. Say a guy wants to add a 2014 QB and his 2014 player is a RB. He will need to cut the 14 RB and the QB he wants to replace, then add an RB from the same year as the QB he cut.

I agree

And do get more than 1 round for add/drops?

I won't be making any add/drops. Unless somebody makes a crazy cut at a position I drafted the same season.

Ha, seeing that reminded me of the time I met another Cowboys DLineman from that 90's team. It was 2004, and I was eating at Saltgrass in Dallas, and I'm in the restroom when this guy walks in. He's drunk as Cooter Brown, and he goes over to the urinal while still dancing like a maniac. I recognized the guy right off, and was gonna say hello when he was done, but when the idiot went to wash his hands, he didn't realize that while he was boogeying down at the urinal, he had pissed all over his khakis. I went back to the table and me and my buddies drank to a former fan favorite gone goofy:L

I am going to write everyones name on a post it, fold them up and put them in a coffee cup and pull two at a time to determine the matchups.

We need to be sure we are all on the same page with how this will go.

I believe we should still do rankings but you will assign a number to each portion of a team and send me those numbers I will add all the numbers up and that will be our tie breaker.

So please everyone list your team on the team thread and once that is done please send me you ranking scores then I will post the matchups.
