LOL Now that sounds like me whenever anybody else brings up Brett Hull.

He was a sniper, but he was also the very definition of a one way player. He would have to come out of retirement and throw a body check just to have one hit on his official stat line.

I'll see your Federko and raise you Al MacInnis.

If someone had asked me last week who the best player(s) all time for the Blues was/were I would have gone with one or both of the Plager brothers :noidea:

BTW, I think of the Calgary Flames when I think of Al MacInnis even though he literally split his career between the two cities.

Yeah, the Flames should retire his number and put his jersey in the rafters (I think it's unofficially retired), but they have a statue of Al outside the arena in St. Louis, he's quite loved in that town.

I always called him a garbage man, because he tended to stand in front of the goalie and shove rebounds into the net.

MacInnis to me has always been a part of the Calgary Flames.

Was he on the Cup winning team in Calgary?

edit; Al was the Conn Smythe winner when Calgary won the cup. My memory is not to shabby........................................ yet.

He sure was, in fact, it was a toss-up for me between Doug Gilmour and MacInnis for the Conn Smythe in '89, Gilmour won it, but MacInnis was a beast during that playoff run to the Cup.

Edit: My memory is bad, MacInnis did win the Conn Smythe.
