The play calling was awful in the second half. Its almost like they played to lose. I don't know why they gave up on the deep ball. It was effective throughout the first half
Well you said it yourself - awful playcalling. That is just not a program on the up and up.

Same thing in the oregon game. Calling a pass play in field goal range late :L Shaw not going for it on 4th and short for stanford who's in danger :L Bad play calling has been a trend today

Those who don't graduate generally don't because they become professional football players. It's no one's fault other than the athlete as to what degree they go for. Plenty of players have went on to have tremendous careers built by a FREE education.

Getta outta here with that "CFB sucks" bullshit.

Damn, I didn't realize that there were so many job openings on NFL rosters. Maybe instead of saying "why don't they just get a job at McDonalds" we should say "why don't they just get a job in the NFL"

No, it's not "generally". A few guys make it. And read some of the horror stories. There's guys that were more than prepared for some of the tougher programs at their schools but were forced away from them because it would interfere with football.

I say college football is a joke because it is a joke. Make a minor league system and it won't be a joke anymore because all the people that want to be NFL players when they grow up will have an avenue for it.

HUNDREDS of NCAA Football players are DRAFTED and/or make NFL teams each year. Some of them will never see the field and will be practice squad players.

The average salary for a PRACTICE squad player in the NFL is $390,000 a year. How many degrees in college will net you that kind of salary? Oh please do tell ...

Fact is, you're just regurgitating the same crap that comes up every time someone discusses paying players. If you don't think there is value in getting a FREE education ... you're being dumb. If you don't think hundreds of thousands of ex-football players have went on to utilize their degrees for non-football related careers ... you're being ignorant of the facts.

You hear all the time about the kids who screw up and ruin their opportunity ... you NEVER hear about the vast majority who actually benefited from playing NCAA Football. But fuck the majority right? :L
