USC's D got a lot of points dropped on them by a midmajor. Stanford also has a very talented, experienced backfield to keep Darnold honest.

I think Stanford wins by 7-10 points.

Redwood Trees built the whole area. After water, I would say the Redwood Trees were probably the most valuable resource at that time.

San Franciscans wanted as much redwood as possible to build the city and homes so when the earthquake came, it would really burn.

Went with USC >21, but I'm not real confident. If they play like they did for the first 2 1/2 quarters (especially the defense), we'll get curbstomped.

If they play like they did the last 1 1/2 quarters, we should win the game.

Don't get me wrong, I think there is a strong chance Stanford wins this game, but I really don't get how everyone breaks down these early nonsense games.

I mean everyone does realize basically no team uses their full offense/defense against these scrubs right? They don't tend to bliz or otherwise show any exotic fronts or formations. They don't want game film before big games to keep some element of surprise. They run basic vanilla sub parts of their schemes.

You cannot make any kind of blanket statement about any team that has only played a perceived scrub to this point. UW for example is said to have used less than 20% of their offense against Rutgers and showed none of the new plays they have been installing since spring ball.

There is no transitive property in football as it is, but to attempt to make one out of the games against scrubs is alarmingly wrong.

Stanford has owned this series lately. Shaw really loves to bear USC. USC is the favorite, but I would not be surprised if Stanford won this game. These two teams are probably the most talented in the Pac 12 with Washington being the best coached.
