Game Thread: #11 Tennessee vs #2 Michigan

True. I posted before this game started that Michigan would win by 20 or more. I was also basing that on what we did to tenn 3 times this year, including when they were on the bubble and fought us hard that last game on a neutral court just trying to make the tourney which was uncertain at that time.

This shows why they need to dump the automatic bids and just take the best 64 teams.

I am glad I was wrong...good game to watch.

That's going to be a problem. Better hope Kentucky does not win as they are a lot bigger and quicker inside than Tennessee and they have guys that can shoot 3's. Louisville will be a better match up for Michigan.

I think Kentucky would be a better matchup.. Cauley Stein is a stiff also albeit a 7 footer. Randle will get his.. I think their guard play is overrated though.. The twins are really not that athletic and Young is a hot/cold player.. If he is stroking it then they should win.. But then again they probably should win it all if Young shoots it like Reggie Miller the rest of the way..

I think your only hope against Kentucky would be make a boatload of 3's...and Stauskas will need to play a lot better than he did tonight. Kentucky out rebounds everybody; especially on the offensive glass. Just too many cheap baskets waiting for the difference of significant size and physical inside play.

Michigan gets out-rebounded all the time.. That's their MO.. So they are used to it.. The guard play of Louisville would give Michigan more trouble IMO..

He's got plenty of flaws, no doubt. But without him things would be drastically different. He's the only guy capable of setting screens, working for position down low and playing interior defense. And he stays within himself.
