This year it seems like the consensus number 1 and 2 picks are McCaffrey and Lamb. After that, it seems like a crap shoot between a plethora of WRs and RBs.

Do you go with the most talented WR with a crap QB in Justin Jefferson?

Do you go with the always reliable, although getting old, Tyreek Hill?

Do you go with Jamar Chase? He’s Uber talented, has a really good qb, but always seems to have some minor injuries.

Do you go with reception beast Amon Ra St Brown?

Maybe you go with a riskier roll of the dice on a running back like Bijan Robinon or Breece Hall?

I’m picking third in my draft this Sunday, and I have no idea who to take out of these players. I’m leaning towards Bijan, Hill, or Amon Ra. I’m also considering chase.

My #3 is Bijan, backup choice Chase
This is a running back crew here despite things leaning more towards wr lately.

Bijan
Breece
Chase

For me

Tyreek Hill has been going #2 overall in most drafts.

The guy has done back-to-back 1700+ seasons averaging over 100 yards per game; and 3 straight seasons of 100+ receptions.

Youre not finding a guy like that later.

Father Time is undefeated. With Tyreek Hill, Father Time seems to be right around the corner.

He's only 29. WR dont breakdown like RB.
Of the top 11 yardage receivers, 4 of them were Tyreek's age or older.

We're talking redraft, not dynasty.

True. Of those 4 players, 1 is Tyreek Hill (so technically, he was a year younger), and the other three are Keenan Allen, Mike Evans, and Amari Cooper. Those three aren’t necessarily as dependent on speed as Tyreek Hill is. Once Tyreek loses a step, his game isn’t unstoppable. They were also 9, 10, and 11 in yardage.

You can say that for anyone.

I think bigger WRs with a huge catch radius are much less dependent on speed. The aforementioned three are 6’5, 6’2, and 6’1. Tyreek Hill is 5’10. Once CBs can run with Hill, he’s going to decline. He might still be a very good WR, but not the unstoppable deep threat we have come to know.

For this reason, I can see Hills decline as an elite fantasy wr will be sharp. To me it’s not a matter of if, but when. It might not be this year, which is why I’m considering him at 3 in a redraft.

I agree. But….

Guys with frames like that are actually more prone to injuries. There is an insane amount of increased stress, torque, power. Through every joint, bone, muscle
Tendon. That adds up. And makes them just as likely if not more likely to fall off.

lol yup. Thats my point. Just saying dont dismiss him on that. Mike mcdaniel loves speed and is an innovative mind. Hill should be in consideration. I should have included him. If hes not hurt lock in 100 and 1200 the rest is for fun

Actually it pains me. To say this but

Hill
Bijan
Breece
Hall

I was at my own draft and had a brain fart

I take a RB and I prefer Breece to Bijan, but only slightly.

Is it a forgone conclusion that cmc is 1:1 or am I overthinking it?

It’s not. When he is healthy he is the best player in fantasy. I’d have a hard time not picking him.

It is ESPN too, and after it being CMAC and Lamb 1 and 2 for the longest time, they reshuffled the rankings to have it go cmac, Bijan, hall, lamb the day before lamb signed his extension.

I had him in my big league last year so I feel like I'd have to take him at 1:1 even if I dont want to. Hopefully I'm not in that situation. Just don't feel good about him this year

I never feel good about the number 1 consensus pick. If I had to choose a spot this year, I think it would be three. I think it’s the first pick you aren’t rightfully corralled into taking no brainer (who almost always fails to live up to his draft position). I could CeeDee lamb having a down year too.

Got him with the 10th pick Sunday.

League full of RB hoarders just like here.
