He did look good. The early K on Slater was unreal. 2 strikes on him and he threw a 95 MPH pitch on the inside corner when it left his hand but broke 6 inches inside getting him swinging. That was nice.

Here is the pitch I was talking about. Best one from him this year.

lol, the White Sox signed RHP Adrian Houser today and he's making the start for them tonight (game starts at 4:40 PM PST)

and we have RHP Casey Legumina making his first start as an M after being terrific in relief.

Will be an interesting game for sure.

I was thinking it's because it's a long road trip with no days off which the starting rotation feels especially keenly.

plenty of rested pen arms and plenty of guys to call up even for a few innings against a team that's probably the 2nd worst in MLB.

i'm betting we'll see the same in select series in the two upcoming 17-game stints with zero days off, even with Kirby and Gilbert back.

i'm betting they'll want ford to be backup to cal for a season or two. great mentorship and training for Ford which builds up his trade value, playing at the MLB level for scouts to see will build up that value as well, and great versatility with putting cal at DH more often.

i think ford will be a much more valuable trade piece when he's a year or two away from arb.

would love skenes, though.

I don't think M's could turn down this trade. One elite arm for 3 prospects and an average MLB starter. Pitt would never do it though.
