UCLA is going to be pretty bad this year

Mora Jr wasn't exactly an exciting hire as a coach either, might be a long time before UCLA is relevant.

We are 2-3 against UCLA in LA..... Not sure where you get 2-1........ I said LA........ as in LA/Pasadena.

We lost to them when we were #1- and they were unranked- IN LA.
We almost lost to them in 93 when they were unranked and we were pretty fucking good, in fact- the only team to play us tougher than UCLA- Wide left. Yeah- you know the kick.

We have not beat USC in LA.........

we are 0-2 in rose bowls........



Yeah- we pretty much suck in LA...

I was at that game, and it was a weird game. Very difficult to explain, but not nearly as close as a one point win would seem to be. But that was years ago. UCLA is not a good team now. They are much worse then Washington was the past two years.

Overall, yes we are 2-3 against UCLA in LA.....I thought throwing out the two matchups from the 40's would be ok, and I missed the 72 game we lost out there. Fact is in the last 7 meetings we are 6-1......6-2 in the last 8 if you add that 72 game I didn't intentionally leave off, just missed, since the second world war.

I'm going to say again and channel your certainty when I was worried about going to Seattle, there is no way we lose in UCLA or we are going to lose 7 games this year.....

I like mora

I like the Mora hire as well. People forget that the two NFL teams he coached were both in shambles when he took over. In Atlanta, he took over during what many saw as a rebuilding year and led them to the playoffs. They were always halfway decent under him, even though he had very little talent to work with. He also took over the Seahawks during a rebuilding year, and I really did see some positive signs that year. His firing was not as much a "you did bad" firing as it was a "we want Pete Carroll" firing. I've seen Mora make terrible teams pretty passable, and I think he will do the same thing this year. 7-5 or 8-4 would not stun me in the least.
