Jays just couldn't play for the top seed, eh? Hope that doesn't bite them in the ass - Texas has the second-best post-break MLB record after the Jays.
I'm betting KC sweeps whoever they play while Jays-Rangers goes 5.

While your yeam was busy getting no hit, my powerhouse team swept the cardinals over the weekend!! At this pace we should be in first by the end of November....Hey! Hey man, you feeling good? Your team lock down that number one draft pick? Whoo-hoo!
Ohhh, that's right, you failed at that, too.

I'd like to. Especially considering where the wives allegiance lies.... #bronxfreefallHeeyyy, that's SUPER!
You getting LDS tickets for your Lil'est Mets fan?

Some years are more reasonable than others but props to her in her fandom. No bleacher creature but she follows them throughout the entire season. Now her devotion to the rangers is another level entirely. I think that's the one sports team I have to just let her have influence with the girl. But as i always tell her, her teams have enough fans they don't need.me.What in the world does your family talk about at dinner???
Is she at least a reasonable yankee fan, or fairweather, or is she a bleacher creature?
Remarkable as it is that TX won its division, I am not too confident about the matchup with Toronto. Jays hit left handed pitching as well as any team in MLB. Only chance I see for the Rangers is to score a lot of runs. Then again, I certainly didn't see them even making the postseason several weeks ago.
Actually, the jays splits between L and R pitching isn't really statistically significant. I'd probably pitch Holland in game 1. The question is whether Banister goes with Gallardo or Perez. Perez has been great at home, but I see Banister going with the veteran. Great pitching usually trumps great hitting in the playoffs. Texas can do that, especially with their bullpen. This series will go 5 games IMO.
True that they do mash against both ... 818 OPS v. lefties and 791 against RHP. Think I favor going with Gallardo in Game 1.
Sounds very likely. Rangers have a very good road record, as well, so can't split those first two at Skydome.
Yeah, I still callit Skydome.
Yankees season ends tomorrow night at about 11:15 PM EST
I dunno. Kuechel on short rest might not be the same. I think the Yanks are due to show up for a game. Finishing the season 1-6 against the Red Sox and Orioles isn't how they drew it up. I don't trust Tanaka right now, either, btw.
