Play no huddle and burn out the defense in the first quarter. Then cruise.Thank God for Houston!
Defense - 28th Passing yards 28th rushing yards.
Time of possession 30th (26:30)
they started 1-3 in 01 but only 2 home gamesThe Houston game looks like the earlier Jets game; a weak opponent to beat up on after a tough loss. If the Pats lose, or have trouble winning easily, it could be the foreshadowing of another losing season. By the way, does anyone know the last time the Pats started out 0-3 at home?
The "no INT" is a bit of a wildcard since it seems most so far have been created by other positions...Break Out Game...
Pats 34
Houston 13
Jones three TD passes 350 yards passing no INT.
Run game combine 250 yards.
Bring in Hoyer and tell him to run for his life!Patriots RG Shaq Mason (abdomen) has yet to resume practicing.
The same is true for RT Trent Brown (calf). That is far from ideal with LT Isaiah Wynn and LG Mike Onwenu both on the COVID-19 list. It's unclear if either Wynn or Onwenu will be cleared in time, and neither Brown nor Mason appears close to a return. Even in a dream spot with the horrid Texans, missing four starting linemen could spell disaster for Mac Jones and the Patriots' running game. Stay tuned.
could play if they test negativecould play if they test positive
All those guys can play. One game against a bad team. One game before coaches have some film on their weaknesses. The Boston Globe is reporting this morning that the Offensive Line of the Patriots will be scary.
LT- Justin Herron
LG - Ted Karras
C - David Andrews
RG - Yasir Durant
RT - Yodny Cajuste
Brown (calf) and Mason (abdomen) are medically out. Wynn and Owenue are Covid - 19 and could play if they test positive on two tests 24 hours apart. Problem is that they have not been to practice or allowed on the Gillette Stadium area grounds for the past week.
Reserves will be coming off the practice squad and they are Jmes Ferentz, Drake Jackson, Alex Redmond and Will Sherman.
Houston has four players out for Sunday. Watson and Taylor the two main QBs are out and Stanford QB and rookie Davis Mills will start. He's been struggling and gave up four INTs against Buffalo.
Needless to say, this could be a really interesting game.
