For me personally, the Flyers during the 80s were some of my most memorable experiences ever even to this day. I used to take a bus from my hometown as a kid and my parents would send me off to Philly during Thanksgiving break. I have family up in NE Philly (Abington area). The FLyers back then were so much fun to watch. My uncle would take me to a FLyers game during the afternoon and then head back to the Spectrum in the evening to see Barkley and the SIxers (when they were good). For me the glory days.

The future is bright. Hextall has built a good foundation to a cup contender. The question is, can he turn the page and start adding the final touches to the NHL roster while the kids come up and start to make a difference. And we don't know the answer to that because he hasn't been in that situation yet.

But he watched Lombardi do it in LA.

All that is just looking like a good media campaign by the franchise at this point.
    Stars like Tavares are brightest.

Remember when we had Forsberg? I mean holy fuck, he was amazing. Totally worth watching every time.

Interesting. McKenzie's is usually the closest of the mocks. I don't see Kravtsov as a Hextall guy based on some questions about his work ethic, so if he goes at 12 and Veleno slips to 14 I'd be thrilled!

I just have this feeling that we are trading up this year and will get an impact player that can make the team right away.

Yeah, I’m starting to sense maybe Brady Tkachuk if he slips out of the top 5.

I think it would be worthwhile to trade up for Dobson or Bouchard and be absolutely stacked on defense. It will be interesting to see what we do with the two 1st round picks, Mrazek (Lyon and Stolarz too for that matter) and also Morin.

Hoffman traded to the Sharks. He was mentioned as someone the flyers could be interested in. At least, prior to it coming out that his fiancé might be the devil.

I still like Germany. I know they didn't show up their first game, but they can still win their pool if Mexico stumbles somewhere. Even still, I think the top 2 winners from each pool advance. Germany won't screw this up again. They will destroy Mexico if they were to play again, which is doubtful.
