I think if we all were told that we make the playoffs this year we would have taken that.

Hakstol isnt perfect but he is learning along with our young guys.

I dont think he has lost the room and deserves to continue on.

Well, given his full scope of injuries and the obvious pain he battled through for the entire season, I feel bad for Wayne Simmonds and also forgive him for the down year he had. That and I would be happy to re-sign him at a fair price, but the length of term is going to be a topic of discussion, for sure.

If he is healthy he is a big part of this team. Hopefully the Flyers show some loyalty and keep him aboard

I agree that Haks isn't our problem as we have had many coaches over the years with the same core with very similar results over the last 7 or 8 years

I bet Hexy trades up in the draft, packaging two 1st round picks and potentially more to get one of the top wingers of this class. Whoever we like most out of Svechnikov, Zadina or Tkachuk that still remain in the #4 to #8 overall range.

Obviously the details of this hinge on the draft lottery, who our scouts really like, which teams are willing trade partners and who is previously selected.

Check out page 100. I predicted a record of 43-24-15 and 101 points for this season. We managed 42-26-14 with 98 points.

Everyone said Giroux was done and I knew he was coming back strong when healthy.

Whenever we get into fantasy hockey, I'm either the winner or the runner-up. Last season, I was both...Lol

Go ahead and laugh, but I know my shit when it comes to hockey.

Not really, but if we want a right-handed defender, there are plenty available. At least Dobson, Bouchard and Wilde are all within our range. Bouchard looks like the OHL version of Provorov. We would probably need to trade up to select him.

Myers is coming also. I think they put way too much stock in Gudas being right-handed. That doesn't matter much when mostly all he's doing is turning the puck over, icing it or blowing his coverage.

We did get the Blues' pick though, so we should be drafting 14th and 19th overall. Definitely lots of options to either trade up or draft two players we really like at those spots.
