Hahahaha

If kobe or LeBron or some media darling was putting up 27/7/6 and eliminating Durant/Giannis/butler, they would be saying the same thing.

So I could hype my guy

If Kobe or LeBron were putting up those numbers?

Really?

Have you ever looked at LeBron’s numbers?

As far as playoff peaks, I would rank Tatum #1 for celtics all time right now. He's clearly better then bird. 2nd and 3rd wheels like mchale and parish are a joke to compare.

Steph had Durant/dray/klay for 2/3 rings, any top 50 player ever could of won those.

You're trying too hard now.

These playoffs Tatum's averaging 27.0/6.7/5.9 on .446 shooting.

During the '84 playoffs Bird averaged 27.5/11.0/5.9 on .524 shooting (he was league MVP & Final MVP that year)

in '86 Bird averaged 25.9/9.3/8.2 on .517 shooting (he was league MVP & Finals MVP that year)

"He's clearly better than Bird."

I guess that's why through their first 5 seasons Bird was a 5x all star an all NBA 1st team selection 5x while Tatum's a 3x time A.S. with one 1st team selection.

His 2013 ring he put up 26/8/7

Not that big of a difference. But yeah LeBron is a crazy ball dominator so his stats are enhanced like luka or young harden.

Doesn't have the off ball game and the shooting like Tatum/Curry to be able to fit with any kind of personal/teammates.

Maybe he's not old enough to remember the NBA of the 80's? Hell he's already said Tatum's on the same level as Tim Duncan.

I like larry but the defense gap is massive in my opinion. Bird just wasn't on that level defensively.

Tatum is on pace for a better career. Bird lacked longevity due to injuries and his scoring wasn't all that outside of his 84-88 years.

Dude reminds me of Filipinos you see in the comment sections of NBA social media posts on Twitter or Facebook. Bet he looks like this in real life:

He rebounds a little more but he wasn't consistently out defending the 3 like Tatum is. You defend the 3, you can't get rebs.

Tatum is a lockdown defender though and I just don't see that with bird.

Also bird is hyped as a better 3 point shooter but he never actually showed it in games, only 3 point contests. We know for fact that Tatum is an elite 3 point shooter in games. Bird never proved that, just because you have a great stroke doesn't mean you can get it off in games. Tatum's shooting off the dribble is much better, especially from 3

Tatum shot 35% from 3 this season. The league average is 36%. So I guess if you’re one percentage point below the league average that equals elite. Elite 3 point shooter. But shot 35% this year.

Through their first five seasons Bird averaged more points/rebounds/assist on better FG% with two rings. To say Tatum's better through 5 years is incorrect.

But go right ahead and continue to say Tatum's better. It's rather funny.

Playoffs he's 38% from 3 while taking eight threes a game. That's all time great for his size, especially for high volume shooter

What was bird taking? 1 three a game maybe
