3 minutes left down 10, you need to score quickly and get stops. An immediate foul allows them to score with no time coming off the clock.

It worked. But it easily could have backfired. It was an unnecessary risk in a game GS had complete control of.

That means at best they are giving them on average 1 pt per possession and completely slowing their offense.
