My thoughts exactly. I don't know why GS didn't double him. Force Harden to make a play there for someone else and live with the results.

Someone mentioned on twitter last night that Klay should have left his man and doubled Harden

That would have either been spectacularly good or spectacularly bad!

I was so hoping it came down to him having to make the winning play.
Anything to help boost his perception/career.
The 2 made FT's were cool, but certainly not unexpected.
Him just being on the court during real crunch time was nice to see though.

The Warriors offered him 16M on a 4 year extension and he turned it down. Looking like a bad move for him so far.

Totally agree.

He might get paid in Free Agency.

But, at the cost of having to leave the Warriors.

All he needs to do is look at Harden to know the grass isn't always greener, even when the dollars are.

But, Harden would probably still make the same decision because he doesn't strike me as the kind of guy that is overly concerned with winning.

Probably but again it's weird for the players to double off their man to help Iguodala on defense. It's also counter intuitive to leave your defender wide open, unless instructed to do so. That's why the Rockets having no timeouts in that situation actually helped them rather than hurt them. GS wasn't able to set up a defense.

Warriors have been EXTREMELY lucky, in hindsight. Look at all the things that had to go right for them to be the team they are today:

Traded their best and most popular player (Monta) for an oft-injured big (Bogut)
Took back Stephen Jackson in return also to get an extra draft pick (ended up being Ezeli)
Curry gets hurt, but they sign him to a long term extension for what seems like peanuts now.
Lost (tanked) their way to the 7th spot to draft Harrison Barnes.
Took a flier on a tweener Draymond Green.
Dwight not signing with them and they get Iguodala.
Signing Livingston for the MLE.
Signed Speights at a low contract.
Not trading Love for Klay.

Don't go dragging the knicks into that slop...they don't want him..unless that price tag comes down...way down!
Their #1 priority is at PG.

Yeah, SF is a big position of need for the Lakers. I don't think he's max worthy for the Lakers, but he's worth more to them than a team like the Knicks who already have a somewhat well known SF.

SF and C. The Lakers will likely take a good look at Barnes. He's a RFA which complicates things though.

It will be interesting to see if Barnes gets mroe than the $64M he was offered.

I think he'll probably end up getting close to that. Lots of teams with cap space, and money to throw around. Someone will put an offer like that out there. Question is now, will the Warriors match? It was a given before, not so sure now.

If Steph plays next game, I expect the Warriors to come out with their normal brand of basketball. I would think he'll be on a minutes restriction, but that shouldn't matter too much.

If Steph sits out one more, I think there will be a few adjustments Kerr makes. One is that I think he'll take some of the load off of Draymond to facilitate and let Livingston be the one to get involved. When they utilize Draymond as the primary ball handler, it takes away his major advantage of being the screener, then attacking the defense off the dribble. His high turnover count was partly because he was too focused on being the one to make it happen for others. His assists come within the flow of the game typically.

Another big thing this does is allows Draymond to get back to setting pin down screens for Klay. Klay had Ariza in his jersey all of last night mostly because our two best screen setters (say what you want about the quality of them) weren't able to do it. Bogut was out a lot with foul trouble and Draymond was essentially playing point when he was out there.

If Steph plays, then all is well. If he doesn't, I expect to see Livingston and Iguodala share much more PG responsibilities and put Draymond back in a more natural role. It helps everyone if Draymond can just do what he's done all year.

The Warriors could still pull this out in 7. Without Curry the teams still could each win all their games on their home floor. Edge right now to the Rockets but the Warriors could still get this done. They just have to forget avout Curry and focus on the game.

Have some faith in your team man...

I'm astonished that the Warriors let the ball be inbounded to Hardin on the Rockets final scoring possession. They should have had two guys on him to deny him the ball, leave one guy on each of the other three guys and no one on the inbounder. You cannot, simply cannot allow Harding to beat you like that.

How was the block party?

It looked & sounded pretty cool from what I could tell. A spontaneous thing put together by Spike Lee and some of the city officials in Brooklyn. CNN did a decent job of covering it...and it was mostly interviews, along with various celebrities & people's personal stories about Prince, and of course his music.
