Meh, these title games have produced plenty of blowouts regardless of the program.
I don't think it's an issue of whether TCU belonged or not.

Bama, Clemson, Ohio State have all gotten curb-stomped at least once, and no one questioned whether they should have been there.
Heck Bama was #1 all season long and the defending champs when they took a 30 point smackdown loss.

The playoffs have to figure out how to stop this from happening as often as it does.
This seems to happen 50% of the time or more now in the title game.
FCS does it right, FBS needs to figure that out

Michigan had a bad game but they were far better than Clemson

You are right, i actually forgot about Michigan lol...But i think Alabama should have been the 4th team not TCU. Same way they put an undefeated cincy in who shouldn't have a few years back.

They just put the wrong teams in the championship

It should have been Georgia, OSU, Alabama and Clemson
Clemson?!?

Sorry, no team who lost to the Gamecocks has ever played for a national championship

Does it really matter who played UGA tonight? I think not.

Tonight seems to be more about Georgia than TCU

It is not really fair to Georgia to suggest that somehow TCU is a fraud.
When Georgia is going strong they have some impressive blowout wins over ranked teams.

At times Georgia wandered a bit (Missouri, Kentucky, OSU), but whenever they got truly locked in, it has been like tonight.
But, when Georgia is firing on all cylinders, it is crazy.

They beat South Carolina by 41 on the road
The beat Oregon by 46 at a neutral site
They were up 35-10 at halftime versus LSU

It's not the losses. Its the eye test. You honestly think Bama wouldn't have given us a closer game vs Georgia?
Maybe. Still think it would have been a Georgia route.
The only team that could have hanged with Georgia was Ohio State, who obviously did hang with them last week.

Stop, TCU earned it, and Alabama did not. Using your logic, it is Tennessee that would be take over Alabama due to head-to-head, unless that doesn't count when Alabama is involved.

Next year this problem will be fixed anyways with 12 teams...

Hard to call TCU frauds considering they beat Michigan while being in control most of the game.
Better to credit Georgia with just being that good. Not sure they couldn't beat most of the best historic Bama teams.

I think a TCU defender just got injured committing a facemask (got the sound off). SEC speed!
