It is too dramatic to just be “one of those seasons”. If he were hurt, they would IL him, if for no other reason than just to signal to the fanbase to take some pressure off of him. IMHO, he is CLEARLY dealing something in his personal life. He seems completely distracted on the mound.

Man Doval has fallen so far...I legit felt he was the best closer the Giants have ever had, but one year like that isn't enough to say that. His stuff is so good but like so many relievers he may not be able to stay consistent

I am now of the opinion to just send him down for the rest of the season and have him come back for spring 2025 competiting for a role.
