they've had two months under .500 and they were 13-15 in June and 14-15 in August. 15-23 in one runs is a bit unlucky, but that evens out after years of the Yankees winning a fuck ton of one-run games and finishing above .500 despite a negative run differential.

i played college hockey with craig janneys first cousin, dan. when janney retired and went to the ECHL in a front office capacity for charlotte, it got us a tryout. i played for 10 days before i go embarrassed and sent home.

i played a high school football game against matt hasselback, true story.

one of my better friends when i was younger was a first round NBA draft pick...flamed out.

i used to design medical devices for surgical procedures

now i design thermal sensing systems for rocket engines.

Potheads don't have the mental bandwidth for those kinds of careers that require those levels of precision.

Having a father with a cabin in Northern Maine and having lived in the Berkshires is not exactly what I would say qualifies as the opposite of a dull life.

From the age of 8-14 I lived on a 3-mile x 0.5-mile island in the middle of the South Pacific. When I was 12, my family took a boat from said island to an uninhabited island and my brother and 2 friends went ashore. We got lost in the jungle for a while before finding our way back to the beach on the opposite side. Walked along the coast until we found the boat. Was totally convinced I was going to find Amelia Earhart's plane.

i design thermal sensing systems for spacex (well, theyre one of my customers)

any time you see them test firing a rocket, my thermocouples are in here.

a few months ago I was at MIT's plasma fusion reactor. i designed sensors for that too, along with Sandia national labs, oakridge, and univ of north dakota...mostly for nuclear testing and plasma reactions. this is a pic i took. when operational, its the single largest consumer of electricity in boston. it requires its own substation. running it used to dim the lights in the city. (decommissioned last year)
