Harrison - sp

Giants up 1-0 going into the bottom of the 1st, thanks to some sketchy fielding by Schwarber. Of course, he proceeds to hit a lead off double off Harrison in the bottom of the 1st.

Ouch! Looks like Harrison is all or nothing right now. So far, he's given up a double, gets the next 2 batters to K looking and then gives up a home run. This could be another rough night.

Physically, Harrison looks like he could be Melancon’s son/younger brother.

Not a good comp…

If you look at the individual pitches, Harrison is looking good.

Take away those at-bats from Schwarber and Harper and it was a good inning! No walks, which is the big concern with him. Hopefully, he can settle in the 2nd inning and take command, knowing that he'll be pulled by the 5th inning.

But does he dance like he needs to go to the potty in his wind up?
Not that I have noticed yet.

But Webb is a Cain clone and Harrison is a Melancon clone…

Meckler has what 2 or 3 hits (since joining the team) and on one of them he gets picked off! :ohwell: :L:crazy::doh::mad2:

He seems over matched in the big leagues right now. Probably got called up too soon.
Somebody screen shot the above ^

Hey, I can recognize when a rookie needs more seasoning in the minor leagues. I've been generally pleased with the fact that the Giants have given rookies some time to sink or swim (except with Ramos, that one bothers me).
