I liked Gearrin when the Giants first brought him up but now I kind of hope he is the guy cut when Samardzija is activated. Hey, Valdez and Blanco accepted their outright assignments, maybe Gearrin would too, just to make it easier for the FO to make that decision.

I wasn't expecting a dominating pen. The offense being better was hoped for and we got it.
