This team is just infuriating because it seems like a couple of tweaks make them quite a bit better. Injuries are preventing some of them right now, but by they could absolutely reshape the outfield by Monday if they wanted to.

But will they do it? I could see them waiting until Monday to activate Williamson and send Valdez down. Valdez has no options left so he would be done. He's also been dfa'd by a team 4 times (twice by the Angels). That means he could walk once the team makes him a 5 time dfa victim.
As I was researching whether Valdez has any options I came across this - he was called up and then sent back to the minor leagues a total of 7 times between the Angels and Padres!

If the Giants want to carry 13 pitchers and don't feel Black is ready yet, give Rogers a shot as the 13th guy. If he flops, dfa him and bring up Black.

So frustrating. I was listening to the game, and was excited about the 1-0 lead. Then there were two on and one out with Cutch up in the 3rd. He was a head of the count, and GIDP. I turned it off, figuring things would implode from there. The Rox hit a Earl Weaver Special the next inning and that was the game. And of course, after the Cutch DP, Holland walks the leadoff guy in the very next inning. Natch.
