The numbers justify jettisoning any of Jackson, Blanco or Hernandez. It really is baffling that they carry all three. Play some kids!

He even hit well last year, and it was a solid sample size. It's just infuriating.

I like Blanco and Gorkys, and am completely neutral on Jackson. I don’t want to see any of them go. But it is pointless to have all 3. Heck. It is pointless to have two of them.

The problem with Jackson is they said they brought him in to be a 4th OFer, backup all 3 OF spots. But he's basically playing everyday in CF where he's not much better than Span. Then as you say it's just completely redundant to have all 3.

Then on Monday jettison Gorkys and activate Mac.

That's an outfield I can root for

Maybe they don’t want to play Slater because they don’t want him to establish himself????

Maybe the excuse is "Chris Shaw is on the disabled list with Sacramento and so there is a need for outfielders down there." Its puzzling why Slater isn't given a chance.

Coming into tonight's game, Blanco had the highest OPS of the bunch, at .672, followed by Hernandez at .646 and Jackson at the end at .606. I really think that Jackson needs to go. Platoon Blanco and Hernandez in center, bring up Williamson to play left and have Slater as the corners backup.

I like this. Let Cutch get 5+ starts a week and let the Mac get 4+ a week. That would get Slater about them 3 starts a week. And we should get solid production out of all 3 and the hot bat could be ridden when appropriate.
