I'm still on a SportsHoopla fast til tomorrow but I wanted to drop this here:

Ryan Walker leads all pitchers with 20 games played and hasn’t allowed a run in 10 straight appearances. Last run he’s allowed was April 16th.
2.25 ERA
20 K
2 BB
0.80 WHIP

One of the best relievers in the league

Other bright spots:

Lamonte Wade Jr. has taken his game to a new level this season, with his prolific on-base ability standing out. His .485 OBP ranks first in MLB among players with a minimum of 95 plate appearances, and he’s ninth in the league in OBP since the start of last season.

He faded badly down the stretch last season and I wondered if it was due to overusage. I hope they dial it back a bit this year but it doesn’t appear that to be the case.

Wade was one of the acquisitions that FZ did right. I critiqued it at the time but he has worked out well.

Justin Turner, Cris Taylor, Max Muncy, Yaz, Wade.

These are the arguments in favor of the churn. And why having churn going on IN THE BACK GROUND is a very strong strategy. But with FZ at the helm, he appears to rely on churn as the primary roster building strategy.
