99% of professional athletes in their prime have the same mindset of getting as much money as they can, while they can.
i would imagine many of them end up regretting it when all is said and done but it is hard to have empathy for them. They made their decision and have to live with it.
I'm surprised the Pats had any interest in Hall back then. He was a talented CB who made some big plays, but he was a very undisciplined player. The completion rates of players thrown to when he was covering them was extremely high before he joined the Skins. He became a better player after losing a step with the Skins.
