I would do the first and a 3rd. It's next year so it's kind of looked at as a 2nd and 4th (although I never really bought that). But more so because I think he is a dynamic play maker and with him I think we are talking picks in the latter fifth of the draft. I just don't know about the $15M per. This is where the Dak cap hit matters and where Stephen's comments about how much of the pie do you want to give one player are seen the most. I just don't think we can do it. Sure we can do the Math and make it work and I guess you can cut Crawford, but then we are really relying on a bunch of question marks at DE - maybe Crawford takes a 50% pay cut. The one guy who is best fit for a restructure is Martin. We wouldn't have to fit $15M this year (probably more like $8M) but still creates an issue going forward. I think if they legit think that Cooper is gone after two years or that they may move on from other guys that are structured with an out after 2021 like Jaylon (or Tank but that isn't happening) then you can do this, but otherwise I think you have to pass.

The CAP and losing a 1st and 3rd is a lot to give up. I would prefer to use a higher pick on safety at some point. It would be cheaper. Then again a player like Adam's would help the defense in a huge way. Most of the CAP is being used on offense this to me would be a better trade than the Galloway and Roy William's debacles

Cooper could be gone, but I doubt it. Lamb is a future all pro and will end up being the next great Dallas Cowboy. We had Witten and now Lamb can be the next future hall of famer

If I was Dak.i target Lamb early and often. He is going to be a matchup problem and will eat 2nd and 3rd corners alive. He will also make #1 corners look silly

when the Boys go with 3 or 4 wideouts it will be wild
Plus, Jarwin has shown as good of an ability to split the seam between the safeties as any TE. He had 3 TDs against the Giants doing it. I am interested to see what happens when the defense is in two deep coverage and we have our top 3 WRs (assuming Lamb is who we hope) on the field and drawing the attention of the defense and Jarwin runs straight up the middle on a go route.

I saw that in the article. Also said he wasn't even sold on moving on from Garrett until he met McCarthy. Another reason to like the McCarthy signing I guess...
Ok. Now I am on board with the McCarthy signing!

This offense will be so exciting to watch. Its entirely possible we have three 1,000yd receivers, it almost happened this past season. Add in Zeke and Pollard in the run game and our point differential SHOULD be better than last year’s. Drafting Cee Dee was a definite game changer it can’t be underestimated. I just hope we get a full training camp so everybody learns the new schemes that’s what I’m worried about.

If Dak Prescott isn’t a MVP finalist when it’s all said and done then something ain’t right.

I'd be shocked if that happens, but I agree it should be exciting. The key will hopefully be McCarthy changing the scheme and letting Moore be creative, but also teaching him how to run an Offense. What this team could do with some creativity and breaking the stale chains of monotonous patterns and actually confusing defenses I can only imagine

I'm still not sold on Moore, hopefully Garrett was handcuffing him.

Me neither. It was ridiculous to give him the job after one year of coaching and a year in which he seemed to fail miserably as QB coach. But, clearly teaching technique and repetition and how to read defenses didn't seem to be his strong suit. He seems to be more creative than structured. Being an OC is not just about drawing up exciting plays on a napkin. You need to be able to run an offense and manage the flow of the game and from play to play and getting plays to work off of each other and knowing what to call when and not making the big mistake and that's just part of the play calling aspect of the job. He just didn't seem to be 100% ready. But he has shown he has the ability to be creative and unique and the potential is absolutely (IMO) there and trying to run Garrett's Offense was (again IMO) absolutely as you say handcuffing him. Now he has a coach that will take the reins off and let him implement more of his creative ideas and at the same time maybe be a little bit of a mentor without forcing conservative ideas on him. I'm kind of excited to see how Moore will do under McCarthy and I am expecting really good things from him. I think he is going to excel this year :hope:

I am excited about our offense.
Moore = Non vanilla & new coaching staff = experience on what to do. (it should work well together)

Its our defense that has me simply put as a question mark.
I have no clue if I should be happy or scared. I know nothing of what is to come here.

Anyone have thoughts on the idea of Gallup going to the Jets for Adams? I'm sure we would have to throw in a pick as well, but for me, even though I really like Gallup, that is something I would do. Adams is an absolute monster

Saw that also. I'm pretty sure the assumption was Gallup and a 1st, so because of that I say no. Call me crazy, but I'd go Cooper for Adams straight up. Would cost us the $10M cap hit for Cooper too, but that's already a sunk cost. I'd be betting that we could get by with Gallup and Lamb and then bring in a #3. The upgrade on defense, which is the weaker part of the team, would be worth it for me and getting rid of Cooper's salary makes Adams an easy fit and actually frees up a little salary cap
