Ok so let's see you have to rely on Letang's 26-27 minutes a game.
Pettersson is deployed to top minutes due to injuries, really exposed right now w/o Marino.

Then must play three of the four out of Johnson (even getting top minutes

), Trotman, Ruwedal and Rikkola you would think a defenseman would be on the radar come trade deadline. Heck even when healthy two of those four are deployed.

We just have to 5 goals to a Washington team that couldn't get out of there own way recently. Have up 5 goals to a Buffalo team that forgot how to win 15 years ago. Have up 4 goals to a Toronto team that has the longest Cup drought in hockey. And we trades for a 57 year old foward?

The pluses JMR accrued for winning a game in 1973 as Pittsburgh's goalie are running out quickly

Does anyone understand the Sheary/Rodrigues for Kahun trade? You just got Marleau really not sure I understand unless Bjugstad is not coming back anytime soon.

Depth mostly. I don't think Sheary's enough worse than Kahun to worry about the dropoff there, and it gives them another NHL-capable forward to cover injury troubles.

Yes I found a fourth liner I can root for. 1 month later JMR trades him away for a former Penguin that we gave up because he sucks. :mad2:
