Hey all. Sorry about that whole losing to Penn St thing. We're new to this 'be good at basketball' thing.

That FSU/UConn game was the worst TV program I've ever watched. So many stoppages.

Jonvi I missed the game yesterday but of what I read and saw of highlights it looked like a disaster. Am I the only Syracuse fan getting sick of the same old crap? A team this athletic and tall should be running more and I'm sick of the zone on defense slowing the game down when you have all these athletes. Other teams just pass it around and take there time with the ball on offense. I know JB will never change or even mix it up but this is hard to watch. There offense has no one cutting. No ball movement at all. No imagination at all. This should not be happening to a team this talented. More pressure and run because there are not enough great shooters on this team. Hopefully things get better.

The zone is getting old for me as well. It's time for JB to move on, but I am one that thinks he can stay as long as he's producing decent seasons.

The problem as I see it is Howard is far from game ready and imo, and both centers have yet to get up to game speed either.

Carey is going to be a great SU gaurd soon but him and Howard are just not there yet this year. But I think this team will get better by the time March roles around. You know me...always the optimist.

Buddy is a problem for me. He isn't a D1 baller and will hold us back ... unless he gets a lot better. I don't see that happening though.

@jonvi I didn't see the Syracuse game with Old Dominion, but their(ODU) leading scorer is a kid named "Stith". That kid's Dad is an assistant coach and just so happens he holds the all-time scoring lead at UVA, that being Bryant Stith. He played from 1989-1992 for the Hoos.

yeah....I read that his dad played in the NBA prior to the game from an aritcle about advantages for Old D and advantages for SU. Of course, like the media, they had SU running all over Old D.

My comment to that article was it was all fluff. It focused on cute little things like about Bryant Stith and the Old D HC, Jeff Jones was a Hoos as well. I was like, who cares. They ain't out there. The article said nothing about Old D being 27th in defense according to Ken Prom and yet it still wants to come across as something to run off to your bookie with.

:L Fucking homer reporting. It's like they think SU is owed wins because of Battle I guess.

Anyways....SU is much better than Old D. Just not right now. It's going to take a while before the SU guards get where they need to be. And for some reason, the centers are not on there game yet either. But come March....look out. I expect SU to be right there.

Boeheim has been historically bad, tbh.

19% from the field and 21% from deep

that is horrible

Damn. :L This isn't what I expecte this year.

"I think we do have better players,” Buffalo coach Nate Oats said. “I told the team that. I said going into this game we’re the better team. I think we play harder. I think they have a couple guys that are borderline pros. ... After that, I’ll take our guys 1-7. Look at players 3 through 7. I think we’re better. We have better interior players. I think we play harder. And it matches up well because we have really good perimeter defenders.”
