No HC is entirely immune to leaving a program outside of Saban, but Petersen for sure isn't going to USC. If that's a job he would have been interested in he'd have taken it when he spoke to them last time before he ended up at UW. It would take a job like Bama maybe, and even then I'm not sure he wants to take that SEC heat. In more ways than one.

Daniels is a freshman that should still be in HS. And he is under a lot of pressure. Playing a center with snap issues all year doesn't help. The only good game they had at C was when Nielon was in for Toa. To a cost SC a good 3-4 games. As did Helton's choices and play calling.

Helton lost control of the team before the season started. Thats why they're thin in the secondary. Last years starting CB Jones sat for the year (discipline issues. 2 safeties transferred. His original starting safety suspended 2 years (discipline issue). Its only getting worse SC players fighting on the sidelines. Helton has lost this team. Swann gave him a chance firing calloway and putting the play calling in his hands instead of Tee. Helton has to go. He's a nice guy but SC needs a legit coach

He's a hell of a secondary coach, but only one year as a DC on a team where their real DC is still a staff member isn't nearly enough leadership experience to go to a major program as HC. He'll end up at a mid tier P5 at best.

Fuck that, I’d fire Leach in a heartbeat for Lake. I like Petersen and all but his thing was always offense and special teams and since he has taken over the best part of your program has been your secondary.

Ok? Boise’ defense was nowhere near as good as UW’s nor was UW’s secondary as elite as when Lake started recruiting to UW. You guys had NFL guys but it’s been 2 cycles through now of guys and Lake has an entire secondary that is going to get drafted and the only reason you guys are playing for the division title next Friday.
