Gonna keep Gallo and Odor on my bench and hopefully they continue to HR and put up some runs

TP was also bringing up the idea that Martin Perez could end up being a valuable trade piece at the deadline, due to A) left-handed B) contract

If we can get a deal done that works for both sides, do it. We don't get the opportunity to sign pitchers of his caliber very often. I still think Lucroy and maybe someonelike Jefress could bring back some nice pieces. If Gomez can rebound he might bring a decent prospect.

Wouldn't be surprised in the least to see Profar moved as well.

Heard one talking-head this morning say he thought the Rangers were reluctant to sign a pitcher of Yu's age to a long term contract, especially since he's so dependent on the slider.

Well, I should mention that I can't approach the situation rationally, so my opinion is biased... I am firmly in the "whatever it takes to keep him" camp. But yeah, age should be a factor.

Then again, the market has shifted to the point where I think there are maybe 1 or 2 pitchers out there who can actually live up to the contracts they sign. It's the nature of the beast now. I think if they end up trading Yu (or let him walk), we can consider the window shut for a few years while the team rebuilds.

He wouldn't be as dependent on the slider if they would let him go back to throwing as many different kinds pitches as he did when he first came here.
