5 prime time games thats 5 loses mora fucked us again

Winners, losers of 2017 NFL schedule release

I highly doubt that Mara has as much influence as you would like to believe. If so - then why would the schedule appear to not favor the Giants in 2017. Here is an except from the link above:

Losers

The Giants' rest deficit

Overall, the Giants might have the NFL's least enviable schedule, based on ESPN senior analytics specialist Brian Burke's analysis. They'll have an NFL-high four games against teams coming off their bye and a net total of minus-22 days of rest compared to their opponents. (The next-highest lack of rest days belongs to the Detroit Lions at minus-12.)

Here is some analysis from Football Outsiders on how relative rest affects competitiveness. Suffice it to say, you want to avoid playing teams who are coming off their bye.

Finally, the Giants have four trips into the Mountain or Pacific time zones, giving them more travel miles than any East Coast team with the exception of the Jaguars, who have a home game in London.

BTW - if you are a good team you are going to be playing in several prime time games. The Redskins can't bitch about these games - they just need to figure out a way to win these games. This is similar to how they have to figure out a way to overcome their red zone issues.

I know that we have several SoCal posters on this board. Well - you have your chance to watch the Redskins play twice this season - once in Sept & once in early Dec. If you plan on going to the Chargers game in Dec you probably better plan early since they will be playing in that shoebox this season (although w/ their fanbase that may not be an issue).

I plan on flying back for at least one of these games - should be fun.

I have no idea why they continue to put us on Prime Time so often. We put on terrible shows year after year after year. I get it, there are still a lot of us, but we kill the idea of good games.

I would have to believe that the ratings are pretty decent when the Redskins play. They are guessing that the team will be fairly competitive & I guess that there are a good amt of both Redskins & anti-Redskins fans. Guys like Norman also attract attn. & several of these games are against rivals like the Giants & Cowboys which is always good for ratings.

Again - Redskins can't bitch - they just need to find a way to win these games. Both the Redskins & Cousins have to prove that they can handle the spotlight & win big games. Otherwise - they will never amount to anything.

No argument. But from a fan's perspective just like with the Caps we can all see it coming a mile away. Until things change there is no reason to believe things will change.

Yep. We will see w/ the Caps. Tell you what - I will go nuts if either of these teams go far since it has just been years & years of frustration till this pt. You almost have to be a masochist to be a Caps fan.

It really is amazing. They change coaches, they change out a lot of the players, with the core who remained (Ovie, Backstrom) playing well now and throughout this playoff drought. But the script does not change.
