I do concur but this is my opinion. Last yr on this board many members here spoke of why do our Skins run the ball more. Well we do run the ball, the problem is Gruden is impatient with running game. Big backs needs alot of carries to be effective. Not saying we don't need one b/c you rest assure we will have short yardage, goalline and 3rd and shot. The RB that fits Gruden off are good at running the ball between and outside the tackle and catching the ball alot. Many here always talk about the top end rb but there are few 3 down backs from the 5th rd down.

OK guys here are a few questions for you:
1.So with the acquisition of McCaffrey, do we then cut or trade Thompson?
2. Right now who would you rather have on this team....A. Le'veon Bell or B. Christian McCaffrey?
3. With the acquisition of Cook , Mixon or another runner what happens to Matt Jones?
that is your opinion but what you fail to realize is that this offense does not require a bell cow back. He might not be there at 17. That is how valuable he is.
mcvay called the plays last year. so this year should be different.
So now Dean is calling an opinion...what is this world coming to?

you should know by now that I need your opinions to be explained. Especially you gk. lol
I always explain. My point is you actually got it right. You usually can't get.fact and opinion right
The only opinion or fact you should listen to is me. lol
I will listen to any FACT you give.
Your opinion is possibly the most bias on this board and your opinions are usually based on the opinions of TV personalities.
I don't agree with the responses to the first question. If anything, drafting Bell would make it harder to get Thompson more PT than drafting McCaffrey would. First is the supposition that Thompson is a fit as a 3rd down back. He really isn't, because he's not a very good pass catcher, and I'm not even getting into the fact that he's injury-prone. What he is is a change of pace back. And if they pick Cook, Cook's going to be in there at RB most of the time, and there's very little role available for Thompson. If McCaffrey is picked, he can be used in all sorts of ways - including split out with another RB in there. And he's not likely going to be as much of a workhorse as Cook. There would be more opportunities for the 2nd and 3rd RB's if we took McCaffrey over Cook.OK guys here are a few questions for you:

WEAKNESSES
Bulls through running lanes crashing into blockers rather than shifting with the contours. Doesn't have athleticism to create early yardage for himself. Missing a functional jump cut for sudden shift from gap to gap once line of scrimmage muddies. Hit or miss with run lanes he chooses. Excessive forward lean creates issues with contact balance. Too easily felled by arm tackles. Banger, but not a tackle breaker. Doesn't have the speed to turn the corner when runs spill outside.

BOTTOM LINE
His NFL size and physical nature give him a shot to make the back-end of the running back depth chart, but his inability to create for himself with broken tackles and elusiveness puts a ceiling on his draft value.
The whole point of taking a RB is to IMPROVE on the position. Not bring in another project and hope for the best. If we arent going to IMprove and draft a day one starter, might as well take a project NT, G or WR as we have 5 project RBs we hope will turn into starters on roster already.
I would sooner grab Foreman in the 2nd or 3rd, atleast he brings something we dont have without the whole project aspect.
Another bullshit hater take on him I guess??
Positives
- Impressive power
- Generates good yardage after contact
- Breaks lots of tackles
- Always keeps his legs moving forward
- Has very good balance
- Has good size
- Has good acceleration in the open field
- Shows patience
- Has good vision
- Doesn’t fumble much at all
Negatives
- Suffered a knee injury at the end of 2014
- Sat out 2015 due to "personal issues"
- Was arrested for suspicion of underage drinking
- Wasn't used much as a receiver
- Needs to work on his pass protection
Conclusion
Jamaal is an impressive runner coming out of BYU. Williams isn’t a running back that does anything at an elite level, but he does everything at a high enough level where he can be decently productive in the NFL. Jamaal has the ability, to be a 3 down back if he works on his pass protection, but would be better off as a two down guy to start. I wouldn't worry too much about his arrest. A football player being caught drinking would be an afterthought at any other school but BYU. I am not condoning underage drinking, but compared to some of the other off field problems some players have, this is near the bottom.
