If he doesn't sign by July 15th then he has to play on the tag and wait until after the season to work out a long term deal, right??

If this scenario plays out, the team has to franchise him AGAIN, pay him an even more ridiculous amount (what like a 40-50% raise), or transition tag him at which point he can test the market. He would definitely go shopping and at least test the waters for a better situation. Does that sound right?

So...how is there not a sense of urgency to sign him LT before July 15th??

no they transition him for 28 million which is cheaper then the tag. not saying its not important but they dont "have to do it by the draft " by any means

If Kirk is not signed long term before the draft, what do you think the odds are we DONT draft a QB in the first three rounds??

Trading Kirk to SF, would be doing both Kirk and Kyle a favor. Kirk did Washington no favors, nor was he supposed to in taking a discount. So I guess they let him walk for free and next year and hope SF can't land him.

I fully expect Bruce to draft a QB early if Kirk isnt signed long term before the draft. NO one wants to think that Bruce is ego driven and making moves based on his ego more than whats smart for the team. But I think the failure of RG3, and In Scot we Trust, has Bruce in a mood to prove to the fan base that he is actually smarter than we think. So I expect a QB in the first three picks, and I wont be shocked if Watson is there at 17 and thats our pick.

Nah, he knows the fans would be pissed as hell if they picked a QB, and he cares what the fans think. And Watson doesn't begin to fit the Skins system. Fans would take dumps to cover FedEx Field on draft day. Fertilized the turf.

I've heard scouts say that affects him getting the ball in the tight windows, but i've never heard that he has a weak arm, thats why i was trying to figure out if there was something in writing that said his lack of MPH is going to affect his ability to win.

I would prefer we not take a QB at all unless its 6th round or later.. Watson is at the top of my I hope we dont do this list because he doesnt fit our offense.

have you read some of the thing said here??? hard to take this serious. Cody Kessler and Joe Flacco had the same exact grade, but they clearly don't have the same arm strength. Dane claims a QB should have at least 55mph giving Tribusky and Evans an average grade, Peterman and Kaaya - below average and Watson a red flag.
I would question the relevance of this fitness test

You have to understand the mindset of a billionaire... none of us can.. so I'm gonna guess. He's all about making money and if a championship comes along with it... well all the better, but bottom line how can I make a dollar. Anyone really think RG3 wasn't about all that. Filling seats. Do you really think Snyder wanted him because he could win him a championship... not sure he even cared anymore.

Trust me when I tell you this. Snyder didn't sleep for two weeks when he had to bench RG3 in favor a Kirk. He wants that shiny package again under the tree,,, only hoping this time batteries are included.

This is why Im really hoping some one else takes Watson off the board so that Dan isnt even tempted. Its also why I wish they would sign Kirk already. Because I got a bad feeling we would send Kirk and a draft pick to the Niners for the #2 pick in order to take Watson at #2.
