I've seen some mocks have the Lions taking John Ross or Jabrill Peppers... There better be absolutely zero defensive players left that are first round material before the Lions take John Ross with their pick.

Jabrill scares me as a pro. Helluva athlete, but IMO, Killibrew is the hybrid DB/LB for the future.

BQ has shown me nothing to believe he's interested in a early WR.

@Old Lion fyi

Rotoworld's Josh Norris believes NFL teams could view Western Michigan's Keion Adams as a lesser Haason Reddick.

Reddick will be a top 25 selection, so teams who miss out on selecting him might see Adams as a similar linebacker with bend who can also rush the passer. Adams spent most of his time on the edge and was very successful, but his body type profiles as a more traditional linebacker. He'll likely be a fifth through seventh round pick.

So I watched a little bit on him. Not too impressed though. Looks like a 1 trick pony. He gets puched back versus the run too. No way I spend a 5 on him. Maybe a 6. Certainly a UDFA pickup.

Its not official until I talk to @broncosmitty about it though. He is the W Michigan guru.

I'll ask my two WMU grad neighbros. They actually like football.

Dude's a beast. I'll throw his ass right up into DeAndre Levy's old spot. Or next to Glover Quin.

I think he would fit the SS position best at this level. He might not be big enough to take on NFL lineman as a LB. Not on an every play basis. He would be an improvement over Wilson although ESPN and the Freep are really jocking Killebrew (and Williams at LB).

Miles Killebrew, Antwione Williams could surprise on Lions' 2017 defense

Detroit Lions are counting on Miles Killebrew, Antwione Williams

Wishing Tpaul was here to say that it takes 3 years before LBs and Safeties develop.

He was more on CB's and WR's for the 3 year learning curve. At least it seemed when many were disappointed that a first year CB wasn't performing at All Pro level, Tpaul was willing to agree that like the players they're tasked with defending, it takes time to develop that talent for most transitioning from college to pro.

Let's be serious here. Killebrew is far inferior to Peppers. Not even to be mentioned in the same breath.

As for playing WLB, he doesn't have to take on O-lineman when he can beat them to the spot. Navarro Bowman is (was) excellent at juking O-lineman and getting to the ball carrier.

Come on Gandy....

You really believe that?

If we had a chance to draft Peppers..... You would rather pass on him to see Killibrew play?

Trey Hendrickson - DL - Owls
FAU DL Trey Hendrickson had dinner with the Detroit Lions and met with the Baltimore Ravens prior to Thursday's pro day.

In addition, Draft Analyst's Tony Pauline passes along word that the Cardinals will be hosting him for an official visit in the near future and that the Saints will be putting him through a private workout. As for his work on pro day, Pauline notes that the 6-foot-4, 266-pounder went through defensive line and linebacker drills and was sharp in both. Wrote the analyst, "I’m told he showed great quickness, explosion and was fluid moving in every direction." To this point, Hendrickson has been among the strongest performers during the evaluating process.

My dark horse pick at 21 is TJ Watt.

He is slotted to go late first early second so it could happen. GB has a boner for him so it might be beneficial to make it public that we are interested. They might be willing to trade away more than they should to move down (even if it is not to us).

That would really suck if he went to Green Bay and played against us twice a year. No thanks.

Not a lot of film but he does look impressive. Maybe late 2nd or 3rd round. Looks to be more of 3-4 OLB though.

No, I feel BQ and Jim intend on using Killibrew. Got other holes to fill. You also can't guarantee any player will perform better as pro. We really haven't seen Killibrew play, but his small sample was good.

Coming out your way today for a staff meeting.

Needed to update to make more realistic:

1 OLB Reddick Temple
2 DT Adams Aub (Hill wont make the team and Adams is moving up a round)
3 CB Witherspoon Col or CB Myrick MN (Adoree will not be there late in the 2nd anymore)
4 RB Hunt Toledo
4 WR Golladay NIL
5 TE Saubert Drake
5 DE Davis Chattanooga
6 DT Coward ODU (need to replace Ngata)
6 G Are FSU

Really struggling with this 3rd pick. I think with the addition of Hayden we might look at safety instead of CB this year. I might change back in 2 weeks. have to feel it out.

1 OLB Reddick Temple
2 DT Adams Aub (Hill wont make the team and Adams is moving up a round)
3 S Williams Utah
4 RB Hunt Toledo
4 WR Golladay NIL
5 TE Saubert Drake
5 DE Davis Chattanooga or Dimick Utah
6 DT Coward ODU (need to replace Ngata)
6 G Are FSU or other C/G (need to send LT back to school)

The first 3 rounds there are many scenarios that would work though. We could also go

1 S Peppers MI
2 LB Mitchell OSU or Davis FL or other that could drop like Watt or Williams or Riley
3 DT Qualls WA

It will depend on what positions go first before our picks. This second scenario is growing on me though.
